‘The Colour of Memory’ is based on 8mm home footage of my grandfather’s bakery. Showing it in Windy Corner Stores, a local shop, coffee house and bakery, gives it a site-related significance. The screen is divided into four and the footage runs simultaneously in each section. Each quarter is tinted differently representing the different ways memory is typically portrayed in the cinema. The repeated sections also reflect the serial-production process in the bakery.
